Things likely to be heard after camp:
Douchebaggery is an unforgivable sin.
I need to go grocery shopping.
Why is everything I own covered in cat hair?
Do I have to pick these people up from the airport? I no longer care if they walk.
Internalize that!
Got to get that POI done.
And you will faintly hear the scratching of letter writing.
And the winner for most random and unplanned nonsensical post goes to.....
Yeah, I'll just take my award and leave through the back door.

Am I a Poet?
rainbow
lemon
floss
These are the three words given to me by my lovely roommate, Mariecus in order to make this blog, apparently, fantastical. What should I do with them? That's an excellent question.
The good news is that we could do a little grammar lesson. Talk about the purpose of nouns and verbs, direct objects, and transitive verbs. But I'm afraid that with any amount of that, I would end up losing a lot of readership and the few friends I have collected over the last 20 years of my life. So I won't go there. (Though if you would like me to give you a itty-bitty English lesson, I'm all kinds of chalkboard.)
But instead, I will take a different tangent and talk a bit about poetry and the reflexivity of words-especially in music. So put an ear to this tune and see what you think of this. For reference sake, this is Kurt Elling (shameless plug: he's a Gustie with a Grammy-what up world?) and this song never fails to make me smile.

And I feel that Mariecus's list of words inspires the same kind of poetic interlude.
Lemon rainbow floss,
Floss the lemon rainbow.
Floss the lemon, rainbow-
Rainbows floss lemons.
Floss rainbow lemons.
Floss! Rainbow lemon.
And that is my post dedicated to Mariecus's random days.

"I'm a green jellybean"
Ah, the sweet smell of summer. And by summer I mean that point where you laugh so hard you cry and then laugh summer (it sounds like some-more ok? whatever). And to start out this festivity, I got my keys! Huzzah, aren't we proud?
After a thrilling day at work and a festive gathering at Cadi's our apartment managed to have a few brief moments together, as well as enjoy the company of Matt. What an ideal situation. But I think the biggest news, was the history of Ava I heard tonight. Let me be clear, nothing is to be taken for indisputable fact. Use extreme caution when accepting stories from Alaskans.
For instance, I learned that Ava had a rapping career. You said what!?! Yes, that is what she said. And judging by the rhymes she spun, I'm sure short was an understatement. BUT, that's not the point, because this is to be a summer of adventure! And the only logical adventure is that we revitalize Ava's rapping career! Le duh. She may have gone by the name ATAR (Ava the Amazing Rapper) I think with a little respin, she could live up to her name! (Ava the Abysmal Rapper) Too much? You tell me the words you know that rhyme with blue.... If you have any, that's a good start to where we did tonight. I'm now going to finish the only rap I actually helped write (the first part of which is the title of this blog)
"I'm a green jellybean, I can be kind of mean, but when you drop me in the grass I can't been seen-because I'm green!"
BOOM!
Needless to say, I'm going to do the beat boxing. Don't look at me like that, I'm not that good either. But hey, it's all in the spirit of trying things. I mean am I right?
So here's the question of the day, "What are you going to try today?" Something new? Pull out the old violin and at least pretend? Imagine again? Give it a spin around the block, who knows what you'll learn.

What they should have allowed me to write in answer to the random question
Ok, for those of you who are not familiar with the "Random Question" on Blogger profiles, they are really obscure and don't have a very direct point. When I finally found one that seemed answerable (ie, not rhetorical) I typed it all out, only to find out approximately 15 seconds later that you only get 400 characters to answer the question. Hey Blogger, next time you want to restrict my creativity, make your questions multiple choice.
Question:
You're trapped in a well with a goat and a slinky. Describe how you will escape.
Answer:
First of all, this is a baaaaaad idea. (You loved it, don't lie)
The first step is obviously call for Lassie. She always helps in these situations. And while she was waiting for farmer Joe to arrive at the scene, she barked for me to throw the slinky up to her (which she promptly caught in her mouth) and I coaxed the small, adorable goat to be still while I wound the slinky around its legs. With the help of farmer Joe, Lassie pulled up the poor frightened goat, and then threw the slinky back down to me. By this point, the slinky was very stretched out. But thanks to my incredible ingenuity and dexterity (read: Girl Scout training), I climbed up the side of the well, rock-climbing style. Granted, the Girl Scouts would be disappointed that I didn't have a belay, but desperate times call for desperate measures, and I needed to get to dinner on time. So I used my last ounce (gram sounds funny, even if I am in Europe) of strength to throw my body far enough out of the well for Lassie to drag me to safety. Realizing that I was exhausted, she brought over a pail of clean water (not from the well, don't get excited) and helped me to my feet. Then the nice farmer Joe told me to hop in his '55 Ford and he drove me home, where I was just in time for dinner.
The End.
So I posted that well crafted answer here. Enjoy.
